Champlain College was established in 1878 and the online programs continue to offer the same quality of education as the school has for over 100 years. The online courses are based on the same idea as the school-based classes, which is nurturing students through an academic environment that is responsive to the needs of the workplace. Students can work toward an associate's or bachelor's degree.

With online courses, students get the convenience of attending classes at any time of the day, any day of the week. These courses can be completed in as little as eight weeks and the flexibility of the open course time makes it easy to fit learning into a working schedule. At Champlain College Online, students do not have to attend class at a certain time or be involved in lectures at the same time as other students.

The online courses contain the same parts of learning as traditional classes. Students receive lectures and assignments through the course website and can either print them or read them on screen. A discussion forum and e-mail make it easy for students to communicate with each other and with the instructor; both can be used through the course website. Testing is also done through the website and special testing software used.

Students can purchase the books and software they need through an online bookstore or over the phone with the Champlain College bookstore. Stdents also receive access to the Champlain College Library, which contains online books, research guides and databases.

Student Services: As a non-traditional student at Champlain College, you’ll have access to a number of support services geared toward your unique needs. We will provide you with guidance and resources throughout your entire academic experience.

Academic Advising: Champlain College places a high priority on student advising and considers it an integral part of the college experience. As a student of Champlain College, you will have your own academic advisor who will help you make important decisions about your academic schedule at Champlain and help you with your career goals. You may meet with your advisor throughout the semester via phone, e-mail, or fax, or in person if you live within commuting distance.
